TUI MINE REMEDIATION PROJECT, MT TE AROHA
The Tui Mine Remediation project, recognized as one of New Zealand’s most contaminated sites, involved a multi-million dollar, multi-stakeholder effort to restore and stabilize the area. The project encompassed detailed investigations, design trials, and compliance with environmental regulations. Key components included the remediation of underground mine tunnels, stabilization of tailings, and the rehabilitation of the surrounding site. Over the course of three years, the project successfully transformed the site into a safer and more environmentally sustainable area, meeting all necessary environmental and safety standards.
